Hierbij aangeboden, een prachtige Mercedes Benz W124 300E. De M103 6 in lijn van Mercedes omhuld met wellicht het meest iconische koetswerk uit Stuttgart.

Een favoriet bij ons, maar niet altijd even goed te vinden, maar soms komt het gewoon naar je toe en hoef je helemaal niet te zoeken. Eerder in NL verkocht door een collega, nu bij ons ingeruild, een Rauchsilbere W124 met prachtige stoffen interieur, een automaat en een klima. Zo wil je hem.

De W124 is een tijdloze klassieker. Een dagelijks bruikbare auto met ongeëvenaard comfort, omhuld met alleen kwaliteitsmaterialen is de E-klasse/ 200-serie van Mercedes een van de fijnste semi-klassiekers in het veld. Motorisch onverwoestbaar en ontzettend degelijk gebouwd. De iconische Bruno Sacco 'bretter' langs de zijkanten van de auto geven een mooi inzicht in wat luxe begin jaren 90 betekende. Niet alleen pracht en praal, maar ook gewoon een degelijk product, wat met goed onderhoud decennia meegaat. Iets waar ze vandaag de dag nog wat van kunnen leren. De wegwerp maatschappij dringt zich verder op zodat zelfs het luxesegment vervangbare prullaria wordt. Genoeg geluld, dat was toendertijd gewoon niet zo.

Een Mercedes kocht je als je het gemaakt had, maar geen blater was. Een nette zakenman met wat poen op zak, maar geen schreeuwlelijk. Degelijk Duits voor de hoge middenstand, dat is wat deze W124 is. Alleen al de wielophanging is een duidelijk voorbeeld van hoe de engineer van Mercedes kosten noch moeite besparen om het best mogelijke te maken in hun segment. Ze wilde natuurlijk geen sportieve auto neer zetten, maar een onverwoestbare reiswagen. Een fijne Mile-muncher. Een kwalitatieve Autobahn-stormer. Eentje waar je met een gezin in een ruk van Oost naar West Duitsland kan rijden met dik 180 op de teller zonder ook maar een vermoeid moment. Een auto waarin vakantie echt als vakantie voelt.

A favorite of ours, though not always easy to find; however, sometimes it just comes to you and you don't have to search at all. Previously sold in the Netherlands by a colleague, now traded in with us, a Smoke-Silver W124 with a beautiful cloth interior, an automatic transmission, and climate control. This is exactly how you want it.

The W124 is a timeless classic. A daily usable car with unparalleled comfort; wrapped in only quality materials, the Mercedes E-Class/200 Series is one of the finest semi-classics in the field. Mechanically indestructible and incredibly solidly built. The iconic Bruno Sacco 'Parter' along the sides of the car provide a nice insight into what luxury meant in the early 90s. Not just glitz and glamour, but simply a solid product that, with proper maintenance, will last for decades. Something they could still learn a thing or two from today. The throwaway society is encroaching further, so that even the luxury segment is becoming replaceable junk. Enough talk; that simply wasn't the case back then.

You bought a Mercedes if you had made it, but weren't a braggart. A respectable businessman with some cash in his pocket, but not a loudmouth. Solid German for the upper middle class; that is what this W124 is. The suspension alone is a clear example of how Mercedes engineers spare no expense or effort to create the best possible in their segment. Naturally, they didn't want to produce a sporty car, but an indestructible touring car. A fine mile-muncher. A high-quality Autobahn stormer. One you can drive with a family from East to West Germany in one go, hitting well over 180 on the speedometer without a moment of fatigue. A car in which a holiday truly feels like a holiday.
