De 205 1.9 CTI, voor de meeste mensen waarschijnlijk geen introductie nodig. Waar de GTI natuurlijk de heilige graal blijft voor menig hothatch collector, is de CTI een mooi zomers alternatief. De 1.9 is de grotere broer van de 1.6, welke al behoorlijk sportief was.

De 205 was natuurlijk een doodnormale auto, niks opwindends aan. Jan en allemaal reed rond in dit soort koekblikken. In 1982 wist de concurrentie al eenGTI versie uit te brengen, namelijk de Golf 1 GTi. Peugeot wilde mee de boot op. Daarom introduceerde ze in 1984 de 205 GTi.

Enorm populair door de geprezen vermogens/gewicht verhouding en het lekker sjeesbare karakter.Velen eindigde dan ook tegen een boom of werden volledig aangepakt door huis tuin en keukentuners. Dat alle zorgt er voor dat de waarde van originele exemplaren tegenwoordig de pan uit rijzen.

Ons exemplaar is een mooie witte Peugeot 205 CTI 1.9 uit 1992. De auto is roestvrij en heeft de tand des tijds goed doorstaan. Sinds 2006 in Nederland en krap 6000 km gereden sinds dien, NAP rapport er bij ter controle. De auto staat nog mooi in de lak en voelt fris aan in rijgedrag. Ook de kap is nog vrij recent vervangen, dus daar is geen omkijken naar. De auto wordt bij aflevering voorzien van een nieuwe distributieriem, waterpomp en een servicebeurt (olie, bougies, oliefilter, luchtfilter, benzinefilter). Staat inmiddels al op nieuw Vredestein Alltrac rubber. Alles zodat jij deze zomer lekker kan genieten op de binnenwegen richting het strand.

Want binnenwegen is waar deze Peugeot zich het beste thuis voelt, heerlijk door de bochten rammen met het driftig werkende motortje in het vooronder. Vlot schakelend en met voldoende stuurresponse. Geen elektrische stuurbekrachtiging of andere moderne onzin verpesten je rijplezier.

Is de auto nog comfortabel op de snelweg? Ja. Doe de kap naar beneden, de kachel vol aan en het 1905 cc. motortje zoeft prima door tot 130. De Peugeot heeft niet voor niets een topsnelheid van 185 km/h, of je dat moet willen is natuurlijk aan jou.

The 205 1.9 CTI, probably needs no introduction for most people. Where the GTI remains the holy grail for many hothatch collectors, the CTI is a nice summer alternative. The 1.9 is the bigger brother of the 1.6, which was already quite sporty.

The 205 was of course a normal car, nothing exciting about it. Jan and everyone drove around in these kind of biscuit tins. In 1982 the competition already managed to release a GTI version, namely the Golf 1 GTi. Peugeot wanted to join the boat. That is why they introduced the 205 GTi in 1984.

Extremely popular due to the acclaimed power-to-weight ratio and the nice driving character. Many ended up against a tree or were completely tackled by home garden and kitchen tuners. All this ensures that the value of original copies is skyrocketing nowadays.

Our example is a beautiful white Peugeot 205 CTI 1.9 from 1992. The car is rust free and has withstood the test of time well. In the Netherlands since 2006 and driven just under 6000 km since then, mileage report included. The car still has a nice paint job and feels fresh in handling. The top has also been replaced quite recently, so there is no need to worry about that. The car is supplied with a new timing belt, water pump and service (oil, spark plugs, oil filter, air filter, fuelfilter). Already fitted on new Vredestein Alltrac rubber. Everything so that you can enjoy this summer on the back roads towards the beach.

Want back roads is where this Peugeot feels best at home, smashing through the bends with the frantically working engine in the front. Smooth shifting and sufficient steering response. No electric power steering or other modern nonsense will ruin your driving pleasure.

Is the car still comfortable on the highway? Yes. Put the hood down, the heater on full and the 1905 cc. motor zooms fine to 130. The Peugeot has a top speed of 185 km/h for a reason, whether you want that is of course up to you.
